O no Canada

They learn early.

While we were showing my four-year-old son the Christmas lights on some houses in our town, he began to talk about going to other places to see lights.

I asked him if he wanted to go to the North Pole to see some lights, thinking any kid would love to see Santa and the decorations at his house.

He simply said, “Um..the North Pole is in Canada.” As in, no I’m not going to North Pole, it’s in Canada. Who wants to go to Canada?

I never asked again.

  1. Sam

When was the last time you or your boy was in Canada?

  2. For someone with such a wicked sense of humor Sam, sometimes you don’t have one.

If Americans can’t make fun of Canada and Canadians can’t make fun of Americans, what do we have left?
